Winter is here and it’s my fave season to play around with enough pieces and today’s trend train takes a refreshed look at layering achieved by classic pieces with a longer life span, without looking like Joey Tribbiani but just enough to hide your seasonal anxiety.(You talkin’ to me?) Go for a checked bustier top over an oversize white shirt. You may also layer a corset top over dress or shirt and a pair of pants for that laid-back yet edgy vibe.

Combine a printed silk scarf with your suiting or try colour blocking in a cardigan layered over turtleneck and trousers in popping winter hues.

Try a three way layering with a turtleneck top, dress and a skirt.Finish off with contrast boots and cool shades for a classy autumn look. Go all white in a shirt and dress, layered with a contrasting utility skirt.

4. Coat of arms

Jackets and coats are winter essentials and it goes without saying that a classic puffer is a must have in your closet. Try tone-on-tone styling or go classy in a blazer layered over a summery lace dress and a winter coat and calf boots to tie it all together. On a lighter note, go for a tulle skirt and tee, throw on an oversize blazer and sporty sneaks and strut in style.

5. Snug & Cozy

Layer on a cardigan over skirt, belted at waist and boots for that extra warmth. Wrap around a sweater over shoulders in golf court style for an effortless and sporty look.

So ready for the layering game?
